Temporary Food Establishments Permit


"Temporary Food Vendor": a food establishment that operates a period of no more than 14 consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration.


  • No home preparation of storage of foods allowed
  • Vendor is responsible for supplying their own hand wash station on site
  • Health inspection required prior to serving food
  • Permit Required

*Any food items served without approval may result in the temporary food establishment being suspended.

Applications and related documents can be mailed or brought to the Community Development Office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 104 W. Hird Street, Gainesville, Texas 76240, or emailed to cs@cogtx.org.
