[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Preparations - Press Release from TXDOT

For Immediate Release January 31, 2014

TxDOT crews are ready to roll at a moment’s notice for the impending storm. Maintenance employees across all nine counties (Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cooke, Montague, Throckmorton, Wilbarger, Wichita, and Young) are pretreating bridges and overpasses today with Freezeguard or salt brine.

Also….the snowplows will be mounted to their trucks and other equipment will be installed on the dump trucks for snow and ice operations.

This weekend maintenance supervisors will be monitoring the storm ready to activate maintenance crews. All employees will be put on standby and work 12 hour shifts if mobilized.
