[ARCHIVED] Update on the Pecan Creek Flood Damage Reduction Project

Currently the Corps of Engineers contractors, Federal Program Integrators LLC.,(FPI) and Harrison, Walker and Harper(HW&H) are mobilizing and will be in charge of excavating the channel and completing the dirt work around each bridge related to the project. Ashlar Construction Company was hired by the City of Gainesville to reconstruct the bridges related to the Pecan Creek Flood Damage Reduction Project. At the present time Ashlar has completed the demolition of the Garnett St., Main St., and the pedestrian bridges. Within the next two weeks the Corps Contractors (FPI) and (HW&H) will be excavating and completing the necessary dirt work around each bridge. Once completed, Ashlar Construction Company will resume and complete the reconstruction of the bridges related to the Pecan Creek Flood Damage Reduction Project. According to the bridge contractor Ashlar Construction Company, the current bridges out of service Garnett, Main and the pedestrian bridges will be completed by September of this year.
