  1. FrogWatch Citizen Science Project

    March 23, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM @ Civic Center

Join us for a Citizen Science project. Put on your boots and bug spray and join us at the Civic Center where we will meet up to review native frog calls that we will be listening for. We will then head down to Keneteso Park, to listen for amphibian calls and record our findings. Census information will be submitted to Texas Parks & Wildlife.

Frogs and toads also play an important role, serving as both prey and predator, in wetland ecosystems and are considered indicators of environmental health. Many previously abundant frog and toad populations have experienced dramatic population declines both in the United States and around the world and it's essential that scientists understand the scope, geographic scale, and cause of these declines. 940-668-4533 Programs Coordinator for more info.
