Gainesville Fire-Rescue Smoke Detector Application
Requirements:
All applicants must complete and submit the smoke detector application. You will be contacted by the Fire Department to schedule a home visit, and residents will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to installation.
Applicant must reside within the city limits of Gainesville, Texas and must either be elderly/on a fixed income, handicapped and unable to install a smoke detector, or head of household where the total household income is less than $10,000 per year. Please check with criteria applies to you:

Terms and Conditions
The applicant hereby releases Gainesville Fire-Rescue of any and all liability relating to the performance of the smoke detector in the event the smoke detector fails to perform properly during a fire or any other conditions the smoke detecor was designed to operate in. The applicant also agrees to release Gainesville Fire-Rescue of any liability relating to damage that may result during the installation of the smoke detector. The applicant will also allow Gainesville Fire-Rescue to inspect and perform and necessary mainteanance including annual battery replacement at no charge to the applicant.
I have read and acknowledge the requirements and terms of conditinos of the Gainesville Fire-Rescue Smoke Detector program and will be willing to sign a liability waiver prior to installation or maintenance of smoke detecors.
