The City of Gainesville only accepts applications for posted positions and candidates must apply online at the City's Employment Opportunities page.

All City of Gainesville positions require the successful candidate to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Positions that require a valid driver’s license will also be required to pass a driver’s license check. A criminal background check will be conducted on all successful candidates.
