Other Information Related to Building Permits/Inspections

Any construction located in the floodplain will require a floodplain permit application and other documentation as required by FEMA.   Floodplain page

Energy reports must be submitted for all new residential and commercial construction project.

 

Additions, remodels and repairs to commercial buildings will require an Asbestos Study submitted to the Community Development Department before a permit can be issued.  The project must be registered with the State of Texas Asbestos Program at least ten days prior to beginning work on an issued permit.

ADA Compliance

All projects involving Americans with Disabilities (ADA) components must be registered with the State of Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The TDLR project number must be printed on your application or plans or both.
