Overview
The Parks and Recreation Board assists in long-range planning and implementation of programs and activities conducted by the Parks and Recreation Department. The board also:
- Advises concerning future development and studies
- Makes recommendations concerning additional park land or sites
- Recommends means for maximum utilization of facilities
The board consists of seven appointed members who serve two-year terms. Local athletic leagues are represented by the chairman or president of the organization.
